3. Add Social Multistreaming

Go live in multiple places at once, or drive traffic to your Shopify store.

The best viewing experience is on your Interactive Player, and most of the time you'll want to send your viewers there so they can make purchases, participate in votes, etc.

But Stage TEN also allows you to connect multistreaming destinations. Multistreaming (also called simulcasting) is going live in multiple places at once.

Benefits of Multistreaming

  • Go live on all of your social accounts at once

  • Drive social viewers to your website or Shopify storefront

  • Avoids hassle and cost of a table-full of devices (or enough bandwidth to allow multiple streams)

  • Create a more polished or complex show than the social platform supports natively

Example: Driving traffic with multistreaming

You want more traffic on your Shopify store, and have followers on Instagram and YouTube.

When you go live, push notifications are sent on these social networks, which will get people's attention on your stream.

Once they're watching, ask them watch on your store instead for an exclusive discount.

How do I enable multistreaming?

Use the Studio to connect your social accounts so they are added to your list of destinations. When you go live, select all of these destinations.

You can multistream to your Stage TEN Interactive Player, Instagram Business Page, YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, or any RTMP destination/encoder.

How do I get the audience to my Store?

Let's continue with the example from above.

First, make sure you've added your Shopify store to Stage TEN, and added Interactive Players to your Storefront and to the Shop App. This ensures your stream will appear in these places when you go live.

Here's the key: During your show, give your viewers a reason to watch on the Interactive Player on your store instead of the social platform they found you on. Here are some ways to do this:

  • Have a conversation with the viewers in the chat. Make your audience feel a connection with you.

  • Offer an exclusive discount to these live viewers.

  • Use the interactive features of Stage TEN and mention that anyone can participate if they watch on your store.

These kinds of incentives make viewers more likely to reach your store, and even if they don't make a purchase through the Interactive Player during your stream, they are still on your store where they are more likely to browse and shop.
