Before streaming to LinkedIn, you must become a LinkedIn Live Broadcaster. To do this you will need to meet the LinkedIn Live requirements.
Before you go Live to LinkedIn, you must first connect it as a destination. To do this, go in to the Dashboard and go to Studio > Destinations (Edit) > Manage Destinations.
Within Manage Destinations, click on the LinkedIn icon.
Next, click on the Create LinkedIn destination button.
You can set the Title to whatever you like but both the Server URL and the Stream Key will need to be retrieved directly from LinkedIn Live (the next section).
To retrieve the Server URL and Stream Key, you are going to have to login to your LinkeIn Account and navigate to the LinkedIn Live and get them. Follow these steps:
Sign in to your LinkedIn account.
Navigating through LinkedIn to LinkedIn Live is not obvious, so it's easiest to just diirectly click on this link: LinkedIn Live (you MUST be logged in first though).
Choose to Go live now, or pick a date and time for your Broadcast and Schedule for later.
Tip: you can only go live 15 min early and up to 2 hours after your scheduled time.
Click the drop down to select who you will be Posting As, then click Save.
Click the Visibility drop down to select who can see your LinkedIn post then click "Save".
Enter a Title for your stream.
Pick the Region nearest you, and then click Get URL.
Your stream will be sent to a LinkedIn server in this region. Selecting the closest region will usually result in the best broadcast quality.
Find and copy your Stream URL and Stream Key. Leave this window open.
Important: you need to leave this window open until you go LIVE. If you leave this page (by closing this tab/window), your Stream URL and Key will expire and need to be re-generated.
Go back to the Stage TEN Destinations Page and fill in the necessary fields.
Click on the Create button and the destination will be added.
Toggle on the LinkedIn destination to make sure that when you go Live in the studio, it will stream to LinkedIn. Note that we have not gone Live yet.
Go into the Studio and click on the Go Live button.
Your stream is now Live and will be sending to the LinkedIn server.
Finally, return to the LinkedIn window, and confirm that you see your stream. Click Go live. You are now live.
Your Stream URL and Stream Key will change each time you stream on LinkedIn, follow these steps to update your connection.
While setting up your Stream on LinkedIn, select a Region and click Get URL.
Reminder: You need to leave this window open until you go live. If you leave this page, your Stream URL and Key will need to be generated again.
The Stream URL and Stream Key will be filled in.
To edit your LinkedIn destination, login to Stage TEN and then go to Studio > Destinations (Edit) > Manage Destinations and then click on the LinkedIn logo.
Click on the "edit" (or "pencil") icon and enter the new Server URL and Stream Key from LinkedIn and click Save. You can also update the Title of your stream.
Your stream is now updated.
