Important: Before streaming to YouTube, you must enable your account for live streaming, which may take up to 24 hours. You must also ensure that you have connected your YouTube Channel connected to your Stage TEN account.
If your YouTube channel is already connected to Stage TEN, and if you have not previously scheduled a broadcast, you'll see a "default" destination that Stage TEN creates for you - it'll look like this:
Click the Live Control Room link to edit the title, description, privacy, or other details of your broadcast.
Important: YouTube streams are unlisted by default. This means your subscribers won't be notified unless you make it public.
When you are ready to go live, toggle on the YouTube destination. Use the same toggle to turn OFF your live stream at the end of your event.
To get a share link for your broadcast, click the icon beside the YouTube icon. (If your broadcast is set to Public, you can also find the stream on your YouTube channel).
Pre-Scheduling your events allows you to promote your broadcast ahead of time and get a larger audience. (Learn More)
There are multiple ways to set up your YouTube Live Event on YouTube. We find the following method to be the best option:
Go to youtube.com. Make sure you're logged into the correct YouTube channel (the one you connected to Stage TEN)
On the right, click Create, then select Go live.
On the left, click Manage.
On the right, click Schedule Stream.
Reuse the details from a previous stream, or create a new one.
Follow the prompts in the dialogs to fill out the details.
Select Streaming software for your broadcast type.
Select Public for your visibility.
Log into Stage TEN (or reload your Stage TEN browser). You will see that scheduled broadcast in your destination list.
To start broadcasting, toggle this switch ON from the Stage TEN Studio.
To stop broadcasting, toggle the switch OFF from the Pro Studio, or click Stop All.
Tip: You can go live anytime, before or after your scheduled start time.
Go Live to a different YouTube channel than the one connected to your Stage TEN account by streaming to Youtube via RTMP.
