Recovery Mode: Handling interruptions

If your studio connection is interrupted, Recovery Mode recovers participants, and prevents your stream from ending.

You need to refresh? Or your computer just restarted itself? Or your Internet dropped? Don't worry.

When something goes wrong, Recovery Mode keeps your stream alive, and allows you to regain control without your participants needing to re-join. How recovery mode functions depends on whether:

  • You have one or more remote participants in the Studio

  • You are live to one or more outputs

When will Recovery Mode happen?

Remote feedsDestinationsRecovery Behavior

None are Live

If you do not have any remote participants and are not live to any outputs, the Studio will not enter Recovery Mode.

If you reload the Studio, the sequence will be the same as if you entered the Studio fresh.

1 or more remote

None are Live

If you have remote participants in the Studio but are not live to any outputs, the Studio will enter a limited Recovery Mode to help recover your participants. In this scenario, the Studio will remember the remote participants and during recovery their feeds will be brought into the Studio.

If you do not wish to recover your participants, select "START NEW SESSION" to open the Studio in a fresh, empty state.

No Remote Participants but One or More Active Outputs
