Adding Additional Payment Methods

You can set up an additional payment method to allow your customers to pay for their orders online using something other than a credit card.

All Additional payment methods will show up when the viewer clicks on "Check Out On Shopify"

*note that adding additional payment methods are done in your Shopify store and not in Stage TEN

You can install some additional payment providers as apps from the Payments section of your Shopify admin Settings. After you install an additional payment method app, you need to configure and activate it before you can use it.

Install an additional payment method app

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.

  2. In the Supported payment methods section, click Add payment methods.

  3. Search and select by payment methods or by provider.

  4. Choose a provider from the search results, and then click Activate.

  5. Click Install app to install the additional payment method app.

Configure and activate your additional payment method app

Before you can use an additional payment method app, you'll need to configure and activate it. Each app has its own requirements for authentication and configuration, but typically, you'll be prompted to log in or create an account with the payment provider. Once you've activated the app, the payment method will be visible during the checkout process.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.

  2. In the Supported payment methods section, click Add payment methods.

  3. Search and select by payment methods or by provider.

  4. Choose a provider from the search results, and then click Activate.

  5. Click Manage.

  6. You're redirected to the payment provider's app where you can connect your external account.

  7. After configuration is complete, click Activate.

Deactivate an additional payment method app

If you decide that you no longer need an additional payment method app, you have the option to deactivate it. When you deactivate the app, it will be removed from your list of available payment methods. However, it will still be available if you need it for situations such as order returns.

Steps:

  1. In the Supported payment methods section, find the provider in the list.

  2. Click Manage.

  3. Click Deactivate to disable the provider.

  4. Click Deactivate Payments App.
