Snap Camera is a free desktop app that allows you to add filters and backgrounds (called “lenses”) to your camera feed. Start by downloading and installing it.
Select a Lens (or create your own)
In the Snap Camera app, you’ll see a library of lenses you can experiment with, and a preview screen where you can see what they look like.
No makeup? No problem.
Fancy going LIVE in front of the Eiffel Tower? Mais oui.
Want to get abducted by aliens mid-LIVE stream? Knock yourself out.
Seriously though, there are hundreds of Snap Camera lenses to choose from. And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, you can create your own filters and custom backgrounds using Snapchat’s Lens Studio.
Tip: You can set hotkey commands for your favourite Snap Camera lenses to quickly change from one to another during your LIVE stream. Go on, we know you can get creative with these - there is truly no limit!
Open the Studio after Snap Camera
If you've just installed Snap Camera, close Stage TEN, or better yet - restart your computer for optimal performance.
Next, open the Snap Camera app.
Then reopen the Studio (or use your participant link to join).
Both Stage TEN and Snap Camera are CPU and power-intensive processes, so double check that you have all other programs closed and your power cable connected.
The Stage TEN Studio recognizes Snap Camera as just another available camera source. You’ll need to select Snap Camera as the Video Source you are using to go LIVE in Stage TEN.
Click on the Settings icon within your camera feed
A dropdown menu will appear, under Video Source select Snap Camera then click Done.
Et voila! - you’re streaming with your chosen lens through Stage TEN!
